Intec Digital Print Systems
UK based manufacturer Intec has teamed up with Intamarket in an exclusive deal to provide their innovative digital systems to the commercial print, design and graphics market in South Africa.
‘Intamarket are the ideal partner for Intec with their extensive market knowledge and national coverage, but what impressed me the most was their enthusiasm,’ said Kerry Button, Sales Director at Intec. ‘Intamarket play a very important role in our continued global growth and development within the African market.’
Intamarket will be introducing the Intec flatbed cutting and creasing range together with the foiling and laminating solutions. These systems are ideal for the commercial print market, where customers are looking to enter or expand in the rapidly growing short run packaging and labelling market.
Three new flatbed models: FB550, FB750 and FB1150, cater to a variety of stocks and sizes ranging from 350 x 520mm and up to 740 x 1040mm and can handle paper, boards, synthetic materials, vinyls and kiss cut applications from 0.5mm to 1200 micron, cutting at up to 600mm per second with an SRA3 taking between 30-45 seconds per sheet, depending on job complexity. Cut jobs are instantly recognised with Intec’s unique job retrieval software, ColorCut Pro. ColorCut Pro integrates with Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW so users have a smooth transition to creating the necessary cut files. See the FB550 in action here..
Since 1996, StratoJet has built a reputation as a formidable and innovative tech development company that produces its own cutting-edge printers. StratoJet is a boutique manufacturer, creating hand-built large format digital printers designed for clients’ specific needs using the world’s most reliable components and loaded with automated features.
StratoJet’s mission is to build the very best printers that customers will use for years, to make and save money. Focused purely on high performance, large format digital technology, they invest their resources into building robust hardware and continually developing innovative automation instead of big budget advertising. Their inks, materials, research and development and build process are all done with the environment in mind.
Sohil Singh, Vice-President of StratoJet USA, visited South Africa for the first time recently. ‘On my first visit to South Africa, we did a national visit to Intamarket branches and key customers to further understand the needs and concerns of the market. It was understandable that most people were and still are not very familiar with the StratoJet name. They also still need to familiarise themselves with the Piranha range of dye sublimation printers and the performance advantages of our Hawk Clean Ink technology, which is ideal for the vehicle wrapping and other instant dry and immediate film laminating properties with our unique synthetic based printing inks. However, our main range is our Sola UV ink with Shark range of Flatbed Printers and the UV roll-to-roll award-winning StratoJet Falcon XL-3300, as well as the industry-leading range of roll-to-roll, hybrid and new flatbed technology.’
On the partnership with Intamarket he said, ‘We believe that we have the makings of a strong ongoing relationship and that the Intamarket/StratoJet combination will in time become a market leader and household name in the Southern African print and signage industry. Intamarket is a great team, and focuses on providing high-quality solutions for their customers, as well as making sure they get the latest technology in the industry with unmatched support.’ See more here.
‘At Bigzee industrial flatbed cutters, we see South Africa as the major entrance to the African continent and expect Intamarket Graphics to open the market locally and across borders in the region. With the world’s current challenges, it is now more important than ever to have a cost-effective offering in the form of a truly industrial finished cutting solution that has all the functions and tools you need for producing orders,’ said Bigzee’s Business Development Director, Sergey Belokurov.
‘We believe that Intamarket is the ideal partner for us because of their market experience, national and international footprint with a well-established large client base and commitment to high-quality service. We appreciate their very high standard of professionalism and are confident that they will perfectly represent our products in the Southern African market,’ he added.
Bigzee understands the market’s need for print finishing products with reliability and quality but at the same time offers pricing targeted between low-cost low-performance systems and high-end solutions. ‘Among our advantages are our cutter system’s powerful milling module, with the ability to cut many hard materials with a knife in just a single pass. The ultra-precise contour cutting system combines with our manufacturing ability to produce a machine according to customer requirements.’ See the cutter in action here.
Intamarket has extended their range of finishing products for the sign and display markets with the introduction of Fulei heat presses. Both the HT-1720P T2B and HT-1732 T2B heat press models are designed for roll-to-roll sublimation and heat transfer use with the main applications being textiles, furnishings, fashion, sportswear and curtains. The HT-1732 T2B is further designed for piece by piece sublimation, making it ideal for producing individual items such as mouse pads and car mats. The constant operating temperature, low voltage power requirement, easy feeding table, and easy access design for felt blanket entry and release make these robust machines efficient and simple to operate.
Intamarket also has the Fulei range of laminators available, which include the CII Plus Cold, E Cold and E Warm models for wide format laminating or mounting application use. The BU-1600 CIIPlus cold laminator and applicator with its 1580mm working width is an entry-level package designed for the sign and display market, while the BU-1600 E cold laminator and applicator represents Fulei’s latest offering to the digital display market. The BU-1600 E Warm laminator and applicator also includes a ‘heat assisted’ top roller. The accurate CNC metal cutting programme used in the construction of these models ensures secure and aligned laminating for quality finishing.
On their decision to partner with Intamarket, Jackie Lu, International Sales Manager of Beijing FuleiUnion Technology, commented, ‘We were very impressed with Intamarket’s extensive portfolio of premium products, their proven national footprint and successful track record, and their full sales and service facilities, which bring a new level of fast, flexible and customer-orientated service to the market in South Africa. Some of these products are on display in Intamarket’s show room, which has been developed for demonstration and training purposes and can be experienced in-person as well as virtually in the near future.

Of course, the company has solid and long-term partnerships with many prestigious brands, some of which include: Roland, Avery Dennison, Mactac, 3M, Kemica, 3A Composites, Steinel, Miller Weldmaster, Fujifilm, Fulei and much more.
